DATA DS students were called upon to document the dedication ceremony for the Helene Galen Performing Arts Center at Rancho Mirage High School.

Working alongside professional event producers and hired professionals, DATA DS students set up a multi camera shoot to capture the event attended by celebrities, politicians, and community leaders to thank Helene Galen for a 1.5 million dollar donation to support performing arts at the newly completed high school.

8 hours (30 gigabytes) of footage was combined and edited by DATA senior Jonathan Serna to serve as the official historical record of the event. Not only was this a unique experience for students, it was a great for DATA students to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a public and professional setting.
